Not as advertised.
This brand of DVD-R burns at 2x speed and no higher. The case actually reads 1x-16x speed. I have a 16x DVD Burner. Will buy Memorex next time.
Top of the line for quality
I have been using TDK DVD-R discs for quite a while now, and I will personally stand by this product. I back up a lot of movies, pictures, videos, and other random things quite frequently, and so I have tried many different brands of blank media.
I consistently come back to TDK, because the quality has yet to be matched in my eyes. I know that if I start burning a TDK disc, I am going to get a safe, accurate backup, and I don’t have to worry about “making a coaster”. I have purchased this particular product a number of times, and I always recommend this brand when I am asked for a reliable blank media provider.
Pretty good
Only 2 coasters out of 50 used so far. Otherwise pretty good. Some of the backup DVDs tend to jerk towards the end, but that could be due to the quality of the movie itself.
not for LG DVD/VCR combo recorder
Unreliable results recording with LG DVD-R/VCR combo LRY-517. About half of TDK discs recorded on LG combo have serious skipping or jumping problems, or just stall in playback. The same LG recorder works 100% with JVC, Imation, HP, Fujifilm or Sony DVD-R discs. On the other hand, so far the TDKs seem to be working fine for computer burned data discs.
Large box
Well item arrived in a box 15″x13″x8″. Which is rather large for such a small item. Also the product was damaged somewhat just the case none of the dvd’s all the dvd’s were ok. I am satified with it except for the huge box it came in. Haven’t tested the dvd’s yet but it should work.
